We welcome you to an evening at Hook Memorial Hall for a presentation on honeybees and beekeeping. As well as learning a little about this incredible insect, depending on the time of year you may have the opportunity to observe them at work in a special hive. And later in the evening, you’ll get to taste the delicious local honey they make for us!
At the end of the evening, if you feel you would like to learn some more, or are considering becoming a beekeeper, then talk to us about joining our community and learning the craft of beekeeping.

I have been giving talks, about how to fit your garden into your lifestyle, for about 3 years now and had a lovely evening with the Hook Gardening Club recently, when I gave the first talk for 2018, back in January. The evening was well attended by very friendly and knowledgeable people who gave me a much appreciated welcome. Having attended many such groups by now, I can safely say that the Hook Gardening Club stands out for its ability to make visitors and members alike feel at ease, friendly people and interesting talks (not that I’m biaised, of course!) – Sally Tierney
